The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) will hold its annual conference in Washington, D.C. on July 28-30, the trade group announced on Wednesday.
Each year, home health and hospice leaders meet for the Financial Management Conference & Exposition, designed to address opportunities and challenges the industry faces.
As the Affordable Care Act’s implementation continues, the importance of learning the best financial management moves for the home health and hospice industry keeps growing, says NAHC. General sessions and workshops planned for the conference are designed to boost certain financial operations skills ranging from cost controls to revenue enhancement and strategic planning.
NAHC and its affiliate Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association (HHFMA) are co-sponsoring the event, which will offer attendees four targeted tracks of learning: Home Health, Hospice, Care Innovations, and Management/Leadership.
“With so much at stake, this is the year to attend the Financial Management Conference,” said Val J. Halamandaris, president of NAHC. “Having state-of-the-art financial management skills will be invaluable in meeting the future challenges ahead while at the same time capturing the new opportunities for care in the home.”
